Salzburg
We got picked up from the hostel and went on Sound of Music tour.... in the RAIN :(
She was a nice elderly woman, and a resident of Salzburg all her life. She told us fun stories, showed us interesting places and explained the history of the movie. We learned that people in Salzburg don' even really know what the movie is or have never seen it. We learned that they have moved object like the gazebo from the original place to another. We learned about the real family and how they did not climb a mountain to escape, but just got on a train. It was a great tour however the views were not as good as they normally are. Generally you can see the mountains. Normally you can see the beauty all around us. This day we really had to look through the clouds, and down below us for the beauty to come out.
then after walking around a bit (got to cold and wet) went to Vienna
Vienna, Austria (nicest hostel we stayed in so far! had a couch in the room!)
we watched bobsledding for a while. Me and Kendra went a ways down the street and picked up a pizza and some schnitzel to go and came back and ate and played cards. It was a fun evening spent with friends in a city we barely new or could see through the windows.
