Day 60: Walk Amoung the Dead

FRi
We packed up our stuff and traveled to Monreale where we visited the cathedral and cloister of Benedictine Monastery. (very cool mosaics!)

WE then bused to Palermo visit Cathedral, Cappucin Crypt, Teatre Massino, and Market Area.

THe Cappucin Crypt was very creepy. It contains many dead bodies laid out to see. It was done this way so loved ones could go back and visit there parents or grandparents or who ever. It became very prestigious to be embalmed and placed here over the years. But this is no longer practiced. after our time here and visit down the market area (which I purchased some herbs to mix in with sauce to make variuos Italian sauces.)

we then Bused to Palermo Port to get on our ship.
Ship departs - "Tirrenea Lines" for Naples
we ate on the ship... wasn't the greatest but wasn't terrible. (and a little pricey...)
but then we finished out phase 10 game on the ship before heading to bed on our way to Naples.
