Day 41: Floating... Without a Boat

Finally got to Venice Mestre station and had to catch a 10 min taxis ride to as near as the lest cars to the island of Venice (piazza Roma) then had to walk to the office, get checked in, which that lady is a blessing for waking up at 4 am to check us in with no extra charge or complaining. then we went to our hostel. we got up a little late obviously so we didn't get to do something we wanted... but we did see San Marco and the Rialto bridge and we went shopping and bought some glass and other stuff... must say that I have bought the most things here. we ate lunch at a little restaurant literally across the sidewalk from San Marco, and it wasn't too bad... and dinner was a little pizza place near our hostel... then some people went to a concert/opera thing while me and Sara decided to plan a little of free travel and get here ready for ski trip and walk around the city some. So it was fun and I would love to spend more time in Venice (and Vienna, Munich, Salzburg.... pretty much everywhere but Villach)
